μεταχειρισμένα Παραδοσιακή ξύλινη μάσκα Krampus μεταχειρισμένη με κέρατα

Μεταχειρισμένο

A traditional old wooden mask of Krampus or Percht, used in Alpine folklore across Germany (specifically Bavaria), Austria, and Switzerland.
These masks are an integral part of traditional carnival processions known as Krampusnacht (Krampus Night), Fasching, or Fasnacht, held in early December or before Lent. The mask depicts a demonic creature — half-goat, half-demon — who accompanies Saint Nicholas. While Saint Nicholas rewards well-behaved children, Krampus punishes the naughty ones. The name 'Krampus' is believed to derive from the German word Krampen, meaning 'claw.' Its origins are rooted in pre-Christian Alpine traditions, where horned deities were associated with forests and pastoralism.
Traditional masks like this one are typically hand-carved from a single block of wood (often linden or pine) and adorned with authentic animal horns.
Height: 33 cm.
